Wednesday came out of the blocks flying as they scored a goal within the first 3 minutes. Chloe Rose crossed the ball in from the right-hand side, finding Ruby Whelan, who took it down and smashed the ball into the roof of the net.
The lead was almost doubled just after the sixth minute as another cross from Chloe Rose was touched by the Rossington defender, forcing the keeper into a save at the near post.
2-0 was the score in the 12th minute as Mika Russel intercepted a pass from the Rossington midfielder. She ran forward to the edge of the box, and her shot was fired over the goalkeeper into the top corner, giving Wednesday a deserved lead.
A quick double by Wednesday was found by Wednesday in the 15th minute to give them a 3-nil lead. For their third goal a corner kick was played short by Chloe Rose, brilliantly Michaela Barrett played it back into the box founding Ellie McHugh at the back post who headed the ball home.
After a very dominant display in the first half, Wednesday managed to score another goal after Harriet Lloyd battled hard to win back the ball and play a beautiful pass over the top to Michaela Barrett, who calmly slotted the ball past the keeper.
The score somehow managed to stay 4-0 going into half time after Mika Russell missed a golden opportunity from 7 yards out after a brilliant pass from Harriet Lloyd.
The goals continued for Wednesday in the second half after Chloe Rose played Harriet Lloyd through one-on-one with the keeper; Harriet smashed the ball over the keeper, giving Wednesday a 5-0 lead.
Chloe Rose put her name on the scoresheet in the 77th minute in the game as she managed to dribble past 3 Rossington defenders in quick succession and tapped the ball past the onrushing keeper.
The final goal was scored in the 84th minute in the game after what looked like an attempted cross into the box by Ellie McHugh ended up lobbing the keeper, giving Wednesday their 7th goal and her second of the game.
Wednesday won the game 7-0 with a very dominant display, with every player getting a good amount of minutes in their legs.
POTM was given to Michaela Barrett for outstanding effort once again.
Wednesday Ladies Reserves next game is against Maltby Main on the 23rd of April.
