Our U10’s faced a Worksop side that were a tough and physical opposition, and the girls needed to be on their game right from the off, with stand out performances across the pitch. The quality of football was evident as Wednesday Ladies were stringing four and five passes together to move up the pitch, fashioning several chances. The Player Of The Match was Lucy, with Isla taking the award for most valuable contribution - by pulling off an incredible save from a direct free kick on the edge of the area. Well done girls!
As for the U15’s,they were somewhat unfortunate in their first game back after the Christmas break. With injuries affecting the squad numbers, they were struggling from the off against Wickersley. However after the first 25 minutes, once the cobwebs had blown off, they really started to get into the game. They unfortunately fell to a 1-4 loss, a scoreline that didn’t reflect on the efforts of the side. In positive news, Sienna managed to bag her first goal this season.
Our U18’s were also in action, but feel to a 5-0 defeat against Chesterfield.
