Sheffield Wednesday Ladies FC previous meetings with Sheffield United Community Foundation

Take a look at our previous encounters with Sheffield United Community Foundation.

Sheffield Wednesday Ladies First Team face an away trip this Sunday against Sheffield United Community Foundation in the NERWFL.

The game will take place at Swallownest Miners Welfare Recreation Ground as Sheffield Wednesday Ladies look to notch a second consecutive away victory.

They are coming up against a Sheffield United Community Foundation side that have endured a tricky start to the 2024/25 NERWFL season, as have Sheffield Wednesday Ladies. They have managed just one win this campaign so far, which alike the Owlesses came against Altofts.

Wednesday Ladies will be hoping in an upturn in fortune to the previous two meetings with their Steel City counterparts. Last time out, Sheffield United Community Foundation got the better of the Owlesses in a game that finished 3-1 at the SWFCCP Jubilee Sports Ground on the 26th March 2023, a game that plunged Wednesday closer to relegation in the 2022/23 campaign.

The Owlesses also lost the first of the two meetings in that season, with a 4-2 defeat on their travels as Amy Broomhead and Molly Wilde got the goals. The silver lining to the defeat saw Wednesday No10 Heidi O'Reilly make her senior debut after a difficult 14 month spell on the sidelines that hindered an earlier introduction for the youngster that initially joined the club at just 8-years-old.

The game against Sheffield United Community Foundation will take place this Sunday at Swallownest Miners Welfare Recreation Ground. Entry is £2 for adults and FREE for children, with the game kicking off at 2pm; we hope to see as many of you there as possible showing your support!
