Romy Lee sets her sights on upcoming Kiveton fixture

Charles Garrett4 Apr - 11:05

We spoke with Sheffield Wednesday Ladies Romy Lee to get her thoughts ahead of the game against Kiveton this Sunday.

After an extended break from footballing action, we spoke with Owlesses centre-back Romy Lee ahead of a crunch fixture.

Whilst Kiveton are guaranteed a 9th place position for their NERWFL campaign, Wednesday still have the chance to move up to 6th, potentially leapfrogging Lower Hopton Ladies and Altofts Ladies.

The Owlesses currently sit on 16 points after 16 games, level on points with Lower Hopton, and only separated by goal difference.

Speaking about returning, Romy said: "Definitely looking forward to getting back on the pitch."

"The mood in the squad is positive, we have worked on a few things in the break."

Romy commented on the upcoming fixture: "Sunday against Kiveton will be a tough game and we will need to be at our best to get a good result."

Finally, when asked about the final game of the season against Leeds Modernians, the centre back said: "We are also looking forward to giving a good account of ourselves the week after against a high flying side."

Romy will be in action this week against Kiveton, which will take place at Jubilee Sports and Social Club with kick off set for 3pm. Hope to see you there.
