Sheffield Wednesday Ladies attacker Nicole Shaw has picked up the Player of the Month award for the First Team after several brilliant performances, predominantly down the right-flank.

Shaw, who signed for the Owlesses in the summer, has enjoyed a brilliant start to the 2024/25 NERWFL campaign, notching six goals in the league, with four of which falling in the month of November.

The attacker notably led Wednesday Ladies to an emphatic victory against Sheffield United Community Foundation at the start of the month, where she bagged a hat-trick to help the Owlesses towards their first win of the season.

As for the Reserves, Caitlan Norcliffe has been awarded as the November Player of the Month for her side after putting in some brilliant performances at the back.

Notably, Norcliffe played a key role in the important win at the start of the month against table-toppers Chesterfield U23s, where Danny Shackleton's side grabbed a 2-1 victory.

The Wednesday Ladies centre-back has been ever-present in the side, and has made a big difference for the Reserves as they continue a brilliant debut season as a team.

She has shown that she is eager to learn and it’s showing in her performances, and her robust, tough tackling and ability in reading the game has made a significant difference.
