The Owlesses head into the clash in strong form, having taken seven points from their last three matches under new coach Kieron Lee. Successive wins over Rossington and Millmoor were followed by a hard-earned 2-2 draw away at Altofts.

Wednesday came back from behind twice to secure a valuable point in what is shaping up to be a tight battle for 3rd place this year.

Lee was pleased with his side’s display despite narrowly missing out on all three points:

“Altofts was a fantastic point on the road. Obviously we would have loved to take all three, but the performance was pleasing.”

That result means Wednesday carry real momentum into a challenging final home game test against the division's pace setters. Sunday’s opposition arrive in 2nd place, just a point behind Handsworth with a game in hand.

However, Lee insists his side are ready to embrace the challenge:

“We have momentum going into our final home fixture against Leeds. We know it will be a challenge, but that’s what we want as a squad. We are all ready to give a good account of ourselves against one of the league leaders.”

With high confidence following a string of wins and determined performances, the Owlesses will hope home advantage and battling form can help them end the home campaign on a high against one of the best in the division.
